Tektronix Technologies has appointed Marc Tremblay as its new president, according to micronets. Tremblay will take over from Pat Byrne, who has been president of Teck since July 2014. Byrne will continue to serve as senior vice president of Fortive, and Tremblay will report directly to him.

Tremblay joined Tektronix Technologies from Thermo Fisher Scientific, formerly President of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chemical Analysis Division. Previously, he served as president, senior vice president and general manager of many technology enterprises, including Digital Globe, Z Corporation and Syncline. Tremblay received an MBA from Harvard Business School, a master's and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Stanford University, specializing in intelligent product design and robotics.
